American author, activist, and journalist, Michael Pollan, writes on the intersections of nature and culture: whether it be on our plates, in our gardens or farms, or in our minds. He's well known for his food science writings including book titles The Botany of Desire, The Omnivore's Dilemma, and In Defense of Food, which has been adapted into a PBS documentary series, and has consulted on and starred in various food documentaries. He is currently the Lecturer and Professor of NonFiction at Harvard University.
